Think about this. It's nearly impossible to hang up your phone these days. Even if you think you've hung up, you haven't. Kinda damn downright scary, no?
Good article here, with a bit of nostalgia for us baby boomers. Most of the younger generation probably won't be able to relate, however.

I have a friend who is positive that phones spy on us 24/7 and she also believes that the smart meter installed by the power company - without permission from us homeowners - does the same in various and sundry ways. I don't know. I have no way to know it or to prove it, but she could be right. I mean, why not? We seem to be spied on and unrelentingly "handled" no matter what we do today.
