DH and I will be going to Deadwood this weekend for the holiday. **We're gonna go up and see how much money we can lose to the one-arm bandits!**

We are leaving around noon on Saturday and won't be back until sometime Monday afternoon. I just need someone to post something, anything, on Sunday and Monday. I can probably manage to get something posted on Saturday before we leave. I don't think missing ONE day is a biggie, but if we miss more than one I get an email.

Both of us are in desperate need of a couple of days away from phones, computers and, well, people who ask us for stuff. The only thing I wanna be asked all weekend is how I want my steak done!

DH came with me to MT and UT for the dressage stuff, but that's not really a vacation. Talk about a demand on my time!! It's waaay worse than day care when it comes to hectic schedules.

Anyway, if someone would be so kind, it'd be appreciated.

It has to be a new topic, I believe. Just anything -- the color of farts, the reason cows burp -- just anything.

OK. No problem. I'll check to see if you post anything Sat. Then I'll take advantage to "advertise" my blog at NatMedTalk. I'm on a quest to find out why a sodium bicarbonate and molasses protocol actually cures prostate cancer, at least according to 2 testimonials. Many time alt med has cures or fixes, but never seems to know why they happen.

Have a nice holiday. Help out the economy. Spend lots.

Will do, if my wallet can take it or not! And thanks for helping out. I'd love to read your blog. I've been set up for a blog for over a year now, I just never get around to messing with it. Should do that one of these days.

Long time ago I remember reading about the baking soda/molasses thing. Musta been at hsi way back when.

DMSO smells like molasses to me. Some people say it smells like garlic. Maybe it should be baking soda and DMSO!

Hey, you should take the holiday weekend to trek up to Lake Havasu or Henderson. Good little gambling spots in both of those places. . . You can make a pitch for the economy, too! Hey, we might as well have fun giving it to the gov't because they're gonna take it if we don't give it.

Hope you have a great holiday weekend, too, Jim.

We're baaack! Thanks for posting stuff, Jim. I haven't really had time to look at it yet, but I will.

We had a good time, beautiful weather, a really nice room right alongside a creek which made us feel right at home! It was nice enough outdoors that we were able to leave the window open overnight and it was great. It smells so good up there because they have a different type of pine tree than what we're used to down here. Jack Pines or something like that. Ours are mostly Ponderosa Pines.

I lost $10, won $50, lost $30, won $20......anyhow, I came home about $15 ahead. I'll never make my fortune in Deadwood, to be sure. I wouldn't have come out ahead at all except that right before we left this morning, I played four hands of black jack and won the last hand I played. I shoulda black jacked it the whole time we were there.

While we were gone, last night around 11:15 p.m. to be exact, our youngest son's best friend and his wife had their baby boy! Yee Haw! Baby is in NICU with a little water on his lungs right now, but should be good to go by the end of today. Otherwise, all went well, I guess. Baby was 10 days early, but I'm prepared (I don't know about Mom and Dad though!) because I had all of my crocheting done by August 1. Made a blanket for my grandson (born on Aug 13) and also one for the little guy born last night. It's been chilly here today and supposed to stay about mid-70's all week, so I may take the blanket when I run to the hospital for a quick look-see and visit later today. They might actually need it!

Anyhow, just because I'm back doesn't mean you should stop posting stuff, Jim. Some of the stuff you send to me in emails should actually be going on this forum. Good stuff! And thanks again.

Hey! Welcome home sweetie. $15? That's about 3 hamburgers. Good work.

I was, as you suggested, going to post http://www.heptune.com/farts.html But I did not want to ruin your reputation.

Yeah, $15. I'm a real big liability to Deadwood, ain't I??!

Heh heh heh -- that thing on farts is pretty cool. Long, too. I didn't know there was that much discussion about farts. . .
