I sure wish there was a potato chip company who DIDN'T take out the burned or browned chips. These are DH and my favorite ones!

We buy potato chips in the health food section of the store sometimes and most of them have little if any flavor. They are pale and thick. YUK, YUK, YUK!!

We like them very thin, and very browned, almost burned. Now THERE'S flavor for you! Especially if they have a generous amount of good sea salt sprinkled on them. I like the ones with salt and pepper, but DH doesn't care for the pepper. What a wimp!

If I had a way to thin-slice (reeeeeallly thin slice) a potato, I'd make my own all the time. But I don't have a way to get the tater's thin enough. We used to have a meat slicer around here somewhere (it's probably still here, who knows) but that wouldn't do the job either. I have an old, old, old french fry maker/cutter which I got from my mother-in-law before she passed away, and it makes wonderful fries. But we hardly ever have those. Once in a while I get ambitious and make them if I have enough lard on hand. They are delicious, but we like the thin chips best of all.

If you know of a brand name of a chip that might fill the bill for DH and I, please share it.
